ABOUT ME
Hi I'm Lisa. I'm a qualified psychotherapist & counsellor in Dublin and an accredited membership with the IACP with an Masters Degree in psychotherapy from Dublin Business School.

I believe that the most important thing in counselling and psychotherapy is the relationship between the therapist and client.
My approach is humanistic and integrative, which means that I recognise that everyone is unique and requires an individualised approach to therapy.

In a typical session with me I will listen to try to understand, be present with you, ask open questions, making sure you are comfortable with the pace. I will work collaboratively with you and am very open to and welcome feedback.
Sometimes I will gently challenge you in order to maybe provide a new perspective or challenge critical self beliefs. And sometimes I get it wrong and I welcome being challenged, providing a safe and non defensive way allowing you to practice giving feedback. I will use feedback to guide our sessions which is a part of my collaborative approach.

I believe that clients are the experts on their own lives, and sometimes having a sounding board can be very comforting and supportive.
